Seth Rollins & Kane defeated Dean Ambrose in a handicap match via disqualification. At one point in the match, Ambrose managed to get Rollins alone in the ring to beat him up a bit. Eventually, Kane made a save, tossing Ambrose out of the ring and checking on Rollins in the ring. Ambrose returned again with a steel chair which he bashed on Kane. Rollins managed to escape up the ramp after the bell, with Ambrose taking out some more frustration by hitting Kane with the chair.

Diego defeated Fandango via pinfall. Fandango had the upper hand on Diego after a minute and a half into the contest. Fandango’s music hit and Torito started to dance with Summer Rae and Layla outside the ring, distracting Fandango. Diego hit his backbreaker finisher to get the pinfall win.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Dolph Ziggler via submission. The Miz was on guest commentary and during the match got on the announcers table to make a speech thanking various people. It distracted Dolph who got rolled up for a near fall. Miz also thanked Dolph for not being as good as him. Dolph got upset and went after Miz on the outside, but Miz escaped. When Dolph got back into the ring, Del Rio managed to get the upperhand and put on the Cross Armbreaker to make Ziggler tap.

Chris Jericho defeated Erick Rowan via pinfall. The win carried a stipulation that Rowan will be banned from ringside during Jericho’s match against Bray Wyatt at Summerslam. Bray Wyatt cut a promo before the match saying Jericho will just be dirt after Summerlam, and questioned why Jericho keeps returning to try to “save us.” In the match, Rowan had the advantage late in this contest which lasted 12 minutes of TV time. Rowan put Jericho in a bear hug late and went to smash him into the corner, but Jericho fought out. Jericho hit the Codebreaker to end things, getting the win. Wyatt was shown looking on, and got out of his rocking chair, then took off his hat. He started backing up the ramp as the crowd booed. Jericho celebrated to close the show out.

Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt & Dean Ambrose Injury Updates From RAW

- Bray Wyatt required a lot of work on his eye to make it look presentable for last night's RAW. As previously reported, Wyatt was busted open the hard way by Ric Flair at Saturday night's WWE Live Event.

When he arrived at the arena for RAW, his eye was almost completely swollen shut. WWE's medical staff had to drain the swelling and a lot of make-up was applied for his segment with Chris Jericho.

- After having an injury scare during the main event of Monday's RAW, Seth Rollins is not expected to miss any ring time. He landed badly on his knee after being thrown out of the ring by Roman Reigns and had to be helped to the back by WWE staff. When he got backstage, he was able to walk around and luckily it was not anything serious.

- Dean Ambrose did not suffer any significant injuries as a result of the beatdown he took from Randy Orton and Kane on RAW. He did cut his mouth from the attack but that's it.

Seth Rollins Injured At RAW, What Happened After The Show

- After Monday’s WWE RAW from Richmond, Virginia went off the air, John Cena and Roman Reigns continued celebrating in the ring. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attempted attack them but Cena and Reigns cleared the ring. Cena and Reigns continued celebrating, with Cena leaving first and the show ending with Reigns in the ring.

- It appears that Seth Rollins might have suffered a knee injury during the main event of RAW. Rollins was clotheslined to the floor by Roman Reigns and appeared to land badly. He clutched his knee and wasn't shown on camera after that.

A fan who was in attendance sent word that the referee threw up the "X" sign and WWE medics had to help him to the back. We'll post an update when it becomes available.

J.J. Dillon Speaks On Daniel Bryan/WWE, WCW Legend Not Being In WWE HOF

The following are highlights of a new Busted Open Radio interview with WWE Hall Of Famer J.J. Dillon:

On Daniel Bryan's injury and pushed wrestlers having to leave due to injury: "It's happened numerous times over the years on both sides of the extreme. Look at Magnum TA and what a future Jerry Allen had in terms of 'the skys the limit'. He had the look, the speed, the size and on a rainy slick night his car slammed into a tree, slammed his head into the car and broke his neck instantly ending his career. It's not only the dangers that one faces in the ring because of the natures that wrestling is. There's as much danger traveling. During the glory years of The 4 Horsemen, Arn Anderson had continual problems with his neck. It got worse and worse and he felt a numb in his arm. It kept getting further and further down and finally it reached his hand. Arn was so committed to the Horsemen, he said numerous times that it was a level of excellence and commitment that doesn't come along every day. Arn continued to go out there every day and as a result, the nerve damage continued to progress that he needed surgery and when he finally had surgery

On injured wrestlers coming back from injury who were popular when they left: "I think you have to look at each case on an individual basis. Daniel Bryan, there's a guy that, from an outside perspective, it would appear that there's a guy who didn't set the mold of what you would expect Vince McMahon and the WWE to give a push. He had that 'it' factor. The fans wouldn't give up on him and WWE had to elevate his status because the fans demanded it. It's sad that a guy finally gets his chance and was on the climb to who knows where and how long and then this injury comes along. Doctors will look at a guy and sometimes a guy will get a second opinion from another doctor and the doctors will sometimes not agree on the situation. The one reality of the whole situation is not only in WWE but in the whole genre of Pro Wrestling, you don't have the depth of talent that was there years ago. You don't have another guy you can plug into that spot and keep the momentum going. It's the sad state of reality of the business today. Take a look at Ronda Rousey. She caught the world by storm. What happens if she goes down from injury. There is no one left."

On Daniel Bryan and WWE creative: "From the times I've seen him, he has that it factor and connects with the fans. One thing about creative is there were a lot of ideas over time throughout my career and the ultimate judge and jury is the fans. You would take a guy who had the right talent and didn't have the right situation for him and you'd put him in a situation that's kind of like just being in limbo just to keep him out there. Sometimes it catches on fire like you couldn't imagine. That's one of the things about pro wrestling, sometimes you have the right pulse and sometimes you don't. Vince McMahon picked more winners than losers, but no one is perfect."

On the emotion he and the Four Horsemen had being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame: "When I first started I was a fan. It was in the late 50's and I thought I could become a professional wrestler and appear at Madison Square Garden. The Hall Of Fame at that point was Baseball in Cooperstown. There was no wrestling hall of fame. You just took it day by day and pursued your career and I've said it time after time that the fans made wrestling the way it is today. Their the greatest fans in the world and whatever success myself and the Horsemen had was because of the fans. We gave everything every night. It's like in any other business, you have to give respect to get respect. At the end of the road, I wrestled full time for 5 years before I managed, then I continued to wrestle while managing. After 20 years I had over 3,200 matches. I have done it all and when you look back and you're being inducted into the hall of fame, all of my children were there in attendance to share the experience with me. We were treated with great respect by the fans and the stars of today. The following day going in front of 70,000 people getting cheered and a standing ovation, it was a very emotional moment."

On Ole Anderson not being inducted into WWE HOF: "Well there are political issues that go back to Georgia Championship Wrestling. If people do their research, they would realize that there was a negative tension between Vince McMahon and Ole Anderson. Ole probably wouldn't accept it if they offered it to them. The Horsemen wouldn't be the way they were without Ole. When Lex Luger came around we camouflaged his flaws and he came along at the right time. When Barry came along I think that was the elite group. With Barry you had the young looks, athleticism and skills."

WWE Already Making Plans To Reunite The Shield In The Future

While it would seem inevitable at some point, and thus obvious, there is already said to be talk within WWE about plans for a reunion of The Shield in late 2015 or early 2016.

The motivation behind the talks was long-term planning, where it was pointed out how successful reunions in the past have done, such as D-Generation X.

The idea is to keep Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins apart as far as any kind of unity from now until then, building to an eventual alignment down the line.

Which New Generation Star Will Become WWE Champion First?

WWE.com

One observation about WWE right now is how far they’ve came in advancing new talent. There’s a whole list of younger wrestlers who are regularly stealing the show, seemingly on the verge of breaking into main event super stardom. Whether it’s been the elite in-ring matches of Cesaro or the riveting promos of Bray Wyatt, WWE has been so much of a better product this year thanks to fresh new characters. Part of the credit for that must go to Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. As the head of talent and development we have seen ‘The Game’ having far more influence on Vince McMahon’s old style mentality. Levesque has been responsible for significant investment in younger stars and is one of the key proponents of pushing the likes of Rollins, Wyatt and Cesaro.

But who amongst the new generation will fully realise their potential? Often times we see a star in WWE have a great couple of years, only to burn out or be disregarded at a later stage. Who will be the man amongst the new roster to fully extend beyond the word ‘potential’, going on to achieve lasting franchise stardom? WWE have been looking for the new John Cena for years now and who knows, maybe the next big headliner will be part of the current crop of youth. The likes of Roman Reigns seem to have all the attributes, Seth Rollins meanwhile has proved to be one of the finest in-ring performers of 2014. The future looks bright but who will go on to take their promising career to the next level?

We want you the wwe-basil blog's reader to identify which new generation star has the most potential to go on and become WWE Champion before any of their other peers

Will The Shield Get A New Member?, Notes On Seth Rollins' New Ring Gear

Many have asked what ring gear Seth Rollins will wear now that he is no longer a part of The Shield faction, meaning him wearing the Shield-like vest is not an option. Apparently the discussion of what Rollins' ring-gear will be has been a big topic of discussion among WWE officials since the decision was made to turn him heel and separate him from the group.

Additionally, it's being said that Rollins is not going to be a member of the Evolution faction, as it appears that the Evolution faction -- with Batista out of the picture -- may no longer be around.

For those wondering, it also appears that there are no plans to replace Rollins and add a third member to The Shield group, despite much speculation and a WWE.com article that hyped potential replacements.

Backstage Update Regarding The Idea To Turn Seth Rollins Against The Shield

The Seth Rollins heel turn against The Shield was absolutely a last-minute decision made by WWE. While there were many moving parts in the situation, and many hints that led many to believe that if anyone were to turn, it would be Dean Ambrose, it's being said that an Ambrose heel turn changed to a Rollins turn is not the case.

Basically put, it's not like there were plans to turn Ambrose, but at the last minute the company decided to go with Rollins instead. The idea to turn Rollins was a last-minute decision, and had nothing to do regarding whether or not Ambrose should be the guy -- if any -- to turn on the faction.

- After the SmackDown tapings concluded, Bray Wyatt called Seth Rollins to the ring. It looked like they were going to start fighting, but instead they attacked Dean Ambrose, who was still in the ring following the Wyatt vs. Ambrose SmackDown main event.

Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Luke Harper and The Usos then hit the ring and a huge brawl broke out. Reigns and Ambrose both grabbed steel chairs and went after Seth Rollins as the ring cleared out. The night ended with Reigns and Ambrose playing to the crowd.

RAW RESULTS 06/09/14

RAW RESULTS FROM MINNEAPOLIS, MN:

At the top of the show, they had a clip from the doctor who performed Daniel Bryan’s neck surgery. He said Bryan isn’t cleared this month to compete and will be re-evaluated in the next several months so he can return to action as soon as possible. With that, Stephanie and Triple H said they were stripping Bryan of the title belts. They were shown hanging above the ring. They reminded fans that they would be featured in the Money in the Bank ladder match, which Alberto Del Rio became the first to qualify for last week. HHH then announced Randy Orton as the second man in the match giving the reason because “of who he is.” They led into the next qualifying match for the MITB.

Sheamus defeated Bad News Barrett via pinfall in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Sheamus won with the Brogue Kick out of nowhere to become the third competitor entered into the MITB match for the titles.Sheamus defeated Bad News Barrett via pinfall in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Sheamus won with the Brogue Kick out of nowhere to become the third competitor entered into the MITB match for the titles.

Rusev defeated Zack Ryder via submission. Lana and Rusev cut a pre-match promo using footage of Barack Obama’s recent workout video to call him a “girly leader of the US.” In the match, Rusev squashed Ryder and used The Accolade for the win.

RybAxel defeated Goldust & R-Truth via pinfall. Cody Rhodes was shown watching on a backstage monitor. The close saw Axel with a roll up pinfall as he grabbed Goldust’s tights to secure the win.

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns came out to interrupt a 3MB in-ring promo by destroying them. The two Shield members then cut a promo about Seth Rollins betraying them and talked about how they plan to get revenge. They also said HHH and Orton are a part of the problem. Reigns said he and the King of Kings would have their own “game of thrones.”

The Uso Brothers defeated Damien Sandow & Fandango via pinfall in a non-title match. Sandow was dressed in a leotard and did some sort of ribbon dance. At one point he did some more of his comedic dancing and one of the Usos caught him with a Superkick. The top rope splash followed for the win.

Bo Dallas defeated Xavier Woods via pinfall. Before the match, Dallas told Daniel Bryan he knows he’s angry at home, but the secret to recovery is “Bo-lieving.” The match lasted over 2 minutes and ultimately saw Dallas hit the Bo-Dog bulldog on Woods for the win.

Cesaro defeated Rob Van Dam via pinfall to qualify for the Money in the Bank match. Late in the match, Cesaro hit his Neutralizer to get the win on RVD. He now joins Sheamus, Orton and Del Rio in the MITB match at the PPV for the title belts.

Michael Cole introduced Seth Rollins for an in-ring interview. He came out wearing a black suit with new theme music. Rollins talked about how he did what was best for business, and said Shield was originally his creation, so he had the right to destroy it. He said Ambrose is a lunatic who’d be face down in a ditch if left to his own devices. He said Reigns is pure rage, anger and fury like you’ve never seen in a man, but it was he, Rollins, who helped to harness it. He said they owe him all the success they’ve ever achieved. Ambrose and Reigns were seen backstage watching the interview on a monitor.

Eventually the two Shield members came out from the side of the stage to head to the ring. However, the Wyatt Family sound effect went off. The graphic showed on the screen, but soon Reigns and Ambrose were in the ring against Harper and Rowan. Bray Wyatt came to help the Wyatts while Rollins fled. Suddenly, John Cena’s music hit and he rushed to the ring to help out The Shield in clearing the Wyatts.

Paige defeated Alicia Fox in a non-title match. Aksana was ringside for Fox. Paige put the PTO on late after Alicia Fox and Aksana bumped heads. Post-match, Aksana helped Fox up but Fox slapped her and roughed her up. She grabbed some bottled waters and popcorn from ringside to dump on Aksana.

Jack Swagger defeated Santino Marella via pinfall. Zeb Colter slapped Swagger several times when he was losing it. Eventually Swagger dodged a Cobra attempt by Santino then hit a Powerbomb for the win.

They had a backstage segment where Cody Rhodes told Goldust he’s found the person good enough to be his tag partner, someone he’s never seen before. He said the man will magnify the magnificence of Goldust will be on next week’s Raw.

They had Stephanie upset backstage talking to HHH about Cena teaming with Shield. HHH said after tonight nobody would be seeing Shield again. Vickie Guerrero came in with champagne to celebrate Brad Maddox getting fired. She accidentally sneezed in a glass, so Stephanie slapped it away and told her she’s been fired by her before “don’t make me do it again.”

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose & John Cena defeated The Wyatt Family via pinfall in a six man tag match. Late in the match, Ambrose hit a suicide dive onto Rowan on the outside. Harper hit a big boot on Reigns for the near fall, but moments later, Reigns speared Harper and got the winning pin. Backstage, Triple H and Seth Rollins were shown watching a monitor as the winning team celebrated to close out Raw
