Why WWE is Running a Monday Night Live Event

WWE will be running a rare Monday night house show on December 29th in Richmond, VA while Monday Night Raw is taking place at the same time in Washington, D.C.

The reason WWE is doing this is because the weekend after Christmas is usually one of the best weekends of the year to draw, especially when it comes to kids.

Major Neck Surgery Likely for Santino

Santino Marella’s neck is reportedly in such bad shape that he will eventually require spinal fusion surgery, similar to the procedure Steve Austin underwent many years ago.

In related news, Santino has been promoting his own wrestling shows at his BattleArts Academy in Canada, and the in-ring product is reportedly similar to that of the BattleArts promotion in Japan, which is a worked-shoot style product, focusing on more submission based, realistic wrestling.

Both Rob Van Dam and Xavier Woods have confirmed they will be in the upcoming WWE 2k15 video game.

WWE Signing KENTA: "Don't see the logic that some utilize comparing KENTA with the Great Muta other than they are both Japanese wrestlers. Muta got over because he was young, a high flier, had trendy face paint and, most importantly, he had Gary Hart speaking for him. KENTA can get over if he speaks English or gets someone to be his mouthpiece specifically if KENTA is going to be a villain. I expect him to be in NXT for a good while and could even do some teaching while he's there which I think would benefit all involved. Plus, Muta had some of the top stars in the business to work with while he was in WCW."

Jim Ross also revealed that he's interviewing Tony Schiavone for his podcast (airing August 19th) and he's doing serious work on his autobiography this week.
